Swatch & Review: LUSH Liquid Lipstick

PACKAGING: It’s packaged in a clear glass bottle. The top looks like a dropper from the outside, but it is actually a doe foot applicator.

SIZE: About the size of a bottle of eye drops.

CONSISTENCY: Creamy and opaque.

SMELL: A mild “chemical” smell. There is no “flavoring” in this lipstick.

INGREDIENTS: Ingredients vary by color.

MY THOUGHTS:

I liked this liquid lipstick, in general. It has awesome pigment, and it goes on streak-free in just one coat! What I do have a problem with is the staining. Just like the liquid eyeliners, these lipsticks stain really bad. This could be a good thing if you like a stain to be left behind, but as a makeup artist, I want lip color to come off clean, as I am usually changing lip colors during the course of a shoot. For private clients, this would be great because I know the color will survive eating and drinking without touchups. Below is a picture of the staining that occurred… (this is my hand after washing it three times)
