Review & Tutorial: Beauty Blender BlenderCleanser Solid
I know that most of us are familiar with Beauty Blender’s liquid sponge cleanser, but they now have a solid soap available as another option. Let’s take a look at their new Blendercleanser Solid, and see how it performs!
AMOUNT OF PRODUCT: 1oz
PACKAGING: Plastic container with removable rack.
SIZE: About the circumfrence of a standard drinking glass. About the thickness of a deck of playing cards.
CONSISTENCY: Solid, like a bar of soap.
SMELL: It smells of lavender.
INGREDIENTS: Sodium Palmate, Sodium Palm Kernelate, Water, Glycerin, Coconut Acid, Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Palmitic Acid, Fragrance, Sodium Chloride, Tetrasodium EDTA, Tetrasodium Etidronate, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice Powder.
Let’s take a look at the dirty sponges. I used a liquid silicone foundation on the black sponge, and I used loose powder on the red sponge. The makeup had been allowed to dry into the sponges for two hours before I started cleaning them.
Soak the sponges in warm water, and wet the soap.
Rub the wet sponge on the soap until a lather builds. Makeup will begin to loosen and run out of the sponge.
Keep squeezing and massaging the soap into the sponge until the soap runs clean.
Rinse the soap out of the sponge and wring the water out of it. Set the sponges on a towel to dry.
Rinse off the soap before storing it in the container
This is an invaluable cleaner and a must-have for your sponges. What makes this stand out, is the fact that it does not create suds inside your sponge. Have you ever been in a pinch, and cleaned your sponges with dish liquid? Notice how no matter how many times you rinse them, they still continue to foam at the mouth like a rabid dog? Yeah, I knew it wasn’t just me! This is not an issue here. This soap rinses completely out without leaving any residue behind. It also leaves the sponges with a lovely lavender scent.
