THE PACKAGING:

The packaging is exquisite. You guys know that I am a sucker for sleek and sexy packaging, and CK One delivers! The design is modern, minimalistic, and sculptural. Get into the “pill” shape.

The packaging does a great job of being travel-friendly. Not only is the pump concealed by a lid, it also has a spin-lock, so that you won’t accidentally dispense foundation if you happen to lose the lid.  The cut-out window on the side of the bottle is a nice touch as well.

THE PRODUCT:

The foundation truly is beautiful. It is marketed as a liquid, but I find its texture to be somewhere between a liquid and a soft gel. It’s very smooth and glides across the skin, filling pores and fine lines, as you will see in the close-ups below.

REAL WORLD USE:

I can’t reveal what project this was from yet, but I wanted you to see how the foundation works in real life. Here are two models that I used the foundation on.

Model #1 Before

Model #1 with 3-in-1 Face Makeup (2 layers) and peach corrector under the eyes. No concealer.

MY THOUGHTS:

I really liked this foundation. I like the fact that it really lives up to its claim of being a “second skin.” They actually don’t even like to refer to this product as a foundation for this reason (which is a little silly to me, but thus is the nature of marketing). I also like how neutral the undertone is. This really gave me flexibility with the shades. Sometimes, foundation can be too yellow or too pink, which poses a problem. This product has a neutral undertone, which allows me to mix in liquid correctors to add in a yellow or pink undertone if I need it. Overall, the foundation held up beautifully for the duration of this job. I didn’t have to do any touchups, not even once. This is a great foundation to have in your kit!
